Imagine yourself riding with Bill Miller, a Native American, in the footsteps of the likes of John Wayne, Glenn Ford and Harry Carey Jr. where filmmaker John Ford filmed the most enduring and recognizable landscape in the entire west. Among those t
owering pinnacles and buttes that made a star of John Wayne in “Stagecoach”, paid tribute to the U.S. Calvary in “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon”, and directed what many consider his most brilliant work,” The Searchers.”
For over 35 years Bill Miller’s music has moved audiences around the world. He is an Icon of the Native American music community and an accomplished artist whose paintings are exhibited nationwide. Yet, in the view of singer, composer, flutist, painter and storyteller Bill Birdsong Miller he is just getting started. A three-time Grammy winning singer/songwriter as well as an acclaimed speaker and gifted painter, Miller is the quintessential American artist. Visit www.billmillerarts.com/his-story for more about Bill.
The Anasazi Indians abandoned Monument Valley in the 1300’s and on this ride you will have the opportunity to visit ancient sites and ruins dating before A.D. 1300. Monument Valley is the Navajo Tribal Park and is but a small part of the nearly 16 million acre Navajo Reservation and its residents are but a small percentage of the Navajo population of more than 300,000. www.navajonationparks.org
