Imagine, if you can, how the Mormon Pioneers felt as you discover the beauty and solitude of this vast and colorful country from the back of a good saddle horse for yourself. Bryce Canyon became a National Park by an act of Congress in 1938. Considered by many to be the Crown Jewel in our National Park system the Canyon area attracts over 1.5 million visitors annually from ever corner of the World.
The Paiute Indians called this area home long before the Mormon settlers arrived. We will ride trails established by these Indians and early pioneer homesteaders and later used by such famous outlaws as Butch Cassidy and other renegades of the time.
Total cost for this 3 day 4 night ride is a modest $1,600.00 per person and includes everything necessary to make this a true western adventure you will never forget. We furnish your own personal horse (or there is a discount if you bring your own) all food, tents, guides, wranglers and cooks.
Space is limited to 25 guests, reservations are on a first come first served basis, a deposit of $400.00 is required to confirm your reservation, another $400.00 will be due June 1, 2012 with the balance of $800.00 due 30 days before departure. Evergreen Towne Trolley
Ride The Evergreen Towne Trolley free during the summer months. It's a great way to spend the day in one of Colorado's most enjoyable mountain retreats. Not only will you have a wonderful ride through the heart of Evergreen, trolley riders receive terrific discounts at many of the local merchants. No need for reservations! Just come on up and hop aboard!
Our trolley is patterned after the original horse car that first appeared on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland in 1828 and later operated in most major cities in America.
By the mid 1800s there were over 400 street trolley companies in the United States operating approximately 6,000 miles of track carrying 188 million passengers per year. The number of animals needed to pull these horse cars in a large city was staggering. At one time, The West End Street Railway of Boston ran the world's largest system and maintained about 8,000 horses and mules in order to provide service on a daily basis from early morning until late evening. Electric-powered streetcars replaced horse cars in late 1887 and early 1888 after the first successful electric powered system was installed in Richmond, Virginia.
Rawhide Partners' horse-drawn trolley is now available for your outdoor parties and special events.
